Celebra! East L.A. Resource Guide Launch
Last July Boyle Heights and East L.A. residents, alongside our early education team, InnerCity struggle, Proyecto Pastoral, and First 5 Best Start East LA celebrated the launch of the East L.A.’s Resource Guide.
The residents of East L.A. identified the need for an all inclusive guide to help them navigate the resources available to them. Through months of hard work, a beautiful resource guide was created for, and by the residents of East L.A. Residents were involved in every step of the planning process with several leaders appearing in a fun comic strip (of their own creation) within the resource guide. We wanted the guide to reflect the community who created and will benefit from it. We were able to achieve that goal thanks to Chicana artist Sonji (you can check out more of her work HERE) who created custom art for the cover.
